Thank you to all our friends and family for being there for us. We may be a bit frazzled and not get back to you right away, but we love you for your phone calls, e-mails and cards. They remind us to keep flying.

Dear Kirk, Danielle, Mateo, I was deeply saddened to learn of Mason's passing - I only heard on Saturday, the day of the funeral and have thought of nothing since. I am awed by your strength and ability to grasp the beauty that Mason has left behind in the acts of friendships, family and those who cared for you and for him. And your courage to share this. I am amazed by Mateo's spirit and lovingness, and of course by you as parents who have suffered a loss that is unbearable but must be borne. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you in your journey to find peace and acceptance and with Mason for the legacy of love, strength, endurance and the joy of a boy that he was.
